Maus finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Maus defeated Scott Bailey (Brampton, ON) 7-3, then won 7-1 against Mark Kean (Brantford, ON) and 7-3 against Ryan Sayer (New Liskeard, NONT). Maus went on to lose 5-3 against Cory Heggestad (Derby Township, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
