Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) won 6-5 over Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup, held February 8 - 12, 2017 in Westlock, Alberta.

Bottcher finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) 8-5, then won 9-3 against Appelman and 6-5 against Mick Lizmore (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup Championship title, Bottcher earned 21.438 world rankings points. For week 26 of the event schedule, Bottcher did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Bottcher ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
