Colonial Square Ladies Classic qualifying round, held September 16 - 19, 2016 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. In their opening game, Mei defeated Margaretha Sigfridsson (Skelleftea, SWE) 6-3, then went on to lose 5-4 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Mei lost 8-5 to Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Mei lost 5-4 to Nancy Martin (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Mei earned 1.305 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 5 of the event schedule, Mei did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mei ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
