Colonial Square Ladies Classic qualifying round, held September 16 - 19, 2016 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. In their opening game, Einarson defeated Daniela Driendl (Fuessen, GER) 5-3, then went on to lose 7-0 against Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK). Einarson lost 8-5 to Chantelle Eberle (Regina, SK) where Einarson responded with a 7-0 win over Driendl. Einarson went on to lose 6-3 against Campbell in their final qualifying round match.
 
Einarson earned 2.611 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 9th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 291.885 total points. Einarson ranks 60th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.611 points earned so far this season.
