Corey Chester (Victoria, BC) finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Chester defeated Adam Cocks (Halifax, NS) 9-1, then won 9-5 against Justin Nillson (Kelowna, BC) and 11-6 against Eric Bradey (St. Catharines, ON). Chester went on to lose 7-2 against Aaron Squires (Waterloo, ON). Chester responded with a 5-4 win over Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Chester went on to lose 4-3 against John Willsey (Waterloo, ON). Chester lost 7-6 to Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Chester earned 3.825 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the CIS University Championship, moving up 84 spots the World Ranking Standings into 304th place overall with 6.750 total points. Chester ranks 323rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.825 points earned so far this season.
