Kim finished 3-2 in the 20 team Hub International Crown of Curling qualifying round, held October 14 - 17, 2016 at the Kamloops Curling Club in Kamloops, Canada. In their opening game, Kim defeated Marla Mallett (Walnut Grove, BC) 7-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Makichuk. Kim responded with a 10-4 win over Sarah Wark (Chilliwack, BC). Kim went on to lose 8-2 against Fujisawa. Kim responded with a 6-5 win over Mallett in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Hub International Crown of Curling Championship title, Kim earned 31.777 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 31 spots the World Ranking Standings into 65th place overall with 56.840 total points. Kim ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.273 points earned so far this season.
