Cory Christensen (Duluth, MN) qualified for the 2016 ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Wisconsin's Erika Brown. of the 2016 ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling in Blaine, Minnesota, United States;
 
Christensen finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Christensen lost 6-3 to Wisconsin's Erika Brown, then responded with a 9-3 win over Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON). Christensen won 6-4 against Norma O'Leary (Duluth, MN). Christensen went on to lose 6-1 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
