Fujisawa finished 9-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujisawa defeated Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) 7-5, then won 10-3 against Federica Apollonio (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA) and 6-1 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Fujisawa went on to lose 11-4 against Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN). Fujisawa responded with a 6-5 win over Ji-Sun Kim (gyeonggido, KOR). Fujisawa went on to lose 7-4 against Feltscher. Fujisawa responded with a 8-4 win over Margaretha Sigfridsson (Sundsvall, SWE). Fujisawa won 8-1 against Daniela Driendl (F�ssen , GER), then won 7-4 against Erika Brown (Madison, USA) and 10-4 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). Fujisawa won 11-2 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.

Fujisawa move up 12 spots after posting a net gain of 53.663 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 22nd overall with 205.279 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
