Ogasawara responded with a 6-4 win over Japan's Mayu Minami. Ogasawara won 4-3 against Ji Suk Kim (JeonBuk, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Karuizawa International Championship title, Ogasawara earned 39.874 world rankings points along with the $11,519CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 240.967 total points.
