In their opening game, McCormick defeated Darryl Sobering (Denver, CO) 6-5, then won 10-5 against John Lilla (St Paul, MN, MN) and 6-3 against Stephen Dropkin (Minneapolis, MN). McCormick won 6-2 against Brandon Scheel (Fargo, ND) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the St. Paul Cash Spiel, McCormick take home 12.445 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 50th place overall with 52.887 total points.
