To advance to the championship game, Grassie won 6-5 over Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the Thistle Integrity Stakes in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and won 8-5 over Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the Thistle Integrity Stakes in Winnipeg, Manitoba;
 
Grassie finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grassie defeated April Jorgensen (Winnipeg, MB) 7-2, then won 7-5 against Kevin Brown (Winnipeg, MB). Grassie went on to lose 8-6 against Jared Kolomaya (Winnipeg, MB). Grassie responded with a 6-2 win over Justin Stanus (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Thistle Integrity Stakes Championship title, Grassie earned 4.500 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 76th place overall with 20.075 total points. Grassie ranks 61st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.025 points earned so far this season.
