Kim responded with a 6-5 win over Thomas Usselman (Calgary, AB). Kim went on to lose 9-5 against Virtue. Kim responded with a 7-1 win over John Steel (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Black Diamond / High River Cash, Kim take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $1,400CDN prize, moving up 25 spots the World Ranking Standings into 175th place overall with 4.975 total points.
