To advance to the championship game, Ontario's Susan McKnight won 6-5 over Celeste Butler-Rohland (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2014 Dodd and Souter Gord Carroll Curling Classic in Whitby, Ontario, Canada; and won 9-4 over Tracy Horgan (Sudbury , NONT) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Dodd and Souter Gord Carroll Curling Classic in Whitby, Ontario, Canada;
Ontario's Susan McKnight finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ontario's Susan McKnight lost 7-5 to Stephanie Van Huyse (Whitby, ON), then responded with a 6-3 win over Megan Balsdon (Toronto, ON). Ontario's Susan McKnight won 6-4 against Janet McGhee (Uxbridge, ON), then won 8-1 against Ontario's Christine Pierce in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Dodd and Souter Gord Carroll Curling Classic Championship title, Ontario's Susan McKnight earned 8.200 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 42nd place overall with 25.924 total points. Ontario's Susan McKnight ranks 34th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.100 points earned so far this season.
