In their opening game, Kim lost 7-2 to Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, Ontario, ON), droppimg another game, 8-3 to Nina Roth (Blaine, USA) where Kim responded with a 6-0 win over Shalon Fleming (Regina, SK). Kim went on to lose 7-5 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
