In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) 7-4, then went on to lose 10-4 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Muirhead lost 8-7 to Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE) where Muirhead responded with a 9-7 win over Veronica Zappone (Trentino, ITA). Muirhead went on to lose 9-7 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT). Muirhead responded with a 10-5 win over Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN). Muirhead won 9-2 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Muirhead went on to lose 8-7 against Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RCF). Muirhead lost 6-5 to Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
Muirhead earned 12.449 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 12th place overall with 258.645 total points. Muirhead ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 74.768 points earned so far this season.
