Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) 12-5, then won 11-4 against Veronica Zappone (Trentino, ITA) and 8-7 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT). Kovaleva went on to lose 10-9 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE). Kovaleva lost 6-5 to Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Kovaleva lost 8-7 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) where Kovaleva responded with a 6-3 win over Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN). Kovaleva won 8-7 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO), then won 12-5 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
