Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) won 3-2 over Johnny Jahr (Hambyrg, GER) in the Final of the Edinburgh International, held November 9 - 11, 2012 at the Murrayfield Curling Club in Edinburgh, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Brewster won 4-3 over Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2012 Edinburgh International in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland; and won 6-5 over Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the quarterfinals.
 
Brewster finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Switzerland's Pascal Hess 4-2, then won 7-0 against Jiri Snitil (Brno, CZE). Brewster went on to lose 5-5 against Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO). Brewster responded with a 5-4 win over Mario Freiberger (Zug, SUI). Brewster went on to lose 9-4 against Murray Young (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Edinburgh International Championship title, Brewster earned 10.600 world rankings points along with the $6,356CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 14th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 129.902 total points. Brewster ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.607 points earned so far this season.
