Lawton finished 4-0 in the 48 team Colonial Square Ladies Classic qualifying round, held November 8 - 12, 2012 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. In their opening game, Lawton defeated Kara Kilden (Saskatoon, SK) 7-5, then won 7-5 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) and 5-3 against Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, ON). Lawton won 5-3 against Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Colonial Square Ladies Classic Championship title, Lawton earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 251.335 total points. Lawton ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 118.000 points earned so far this season.
