Bice finished 4-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bice lost 8-7 to Morio Kumagawa (Toronto, ON), then responded with a 7-3 win over Ben Curtis (Chatham, ON). Bice won 7-3 against Cory Heggestad (Barrie, ON), then won 5-4 against Chad Allen (Brantford, ON) and 7-6 against Terry Corbin (Brantford, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Brantford Nissan Classic Championship title, Bice earned 14.650 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 79.631 total points. Bice ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 28.010 points earned so far this season.
