Bryan Miki (New Westminster, BC) 6-4, then won 8-4 against Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) and 7-6 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Stoughton went on to lose 7-6 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Stoughton responded with a 7-1 win over Tyrel Griffith (Vernon, BC). Stoughton went on to lose 4-3 against Randy Ferbey (St. Johns, NL). Stoughton lost 6-5 to Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
