Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, PQ) won 7-3 over Neil Sinclair (Manotick, ON) in the Final To advance to the championship game, Menard won 8-3 over Martin Ferland (Quebec, PQ) in the semifinals of the 2009 Challenge Casino Lac Leamy in Buckingham, Quebec, Canada; and won 7-4 over Serge Reid (Saguenay, PQ) in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Challenge Casino Lac Leamy in Buckingham, Quebec, Canada;
 
Menard finished 4-1 in the 28 team Challenge Casino Lac Leamy qualifying round, held October 22 - 25, 2009 at the Buckingham Curling Club in Buckingham, Canada. In their opening game, Menard defeated Michael Fournier (Montreal, PQ) 9-2, then went on to lose 6-3 against Ferland. Menard responded with a 7-5 win over Steve Lodge (Brockville, ON). Menard won 8-5 against Cory Heggestad (Barrie, ON), then won 10-2 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
