John Epping (Sudbury, NO) won 6-3 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in the Final of the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, held September 10 - 14, 2025 at the Cornwall Curling Club in Cornwall, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Epping won 4-3 over Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) in the semifinals of the 2025 AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-4 over Xiao Ming Xu (Beijing, CHN) in the quarterfinals.
Epping finished 5-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) 4-2, then won 6-2 against Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER) and 9-4 against Julien Tremblay (Levis, QC). Epping won 6-5 against Scott Howard (Navan, ON), then won 6-3 against Denis Cordick (Halton Hills, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic Championship title, Epping earned 51.750 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN first prize cheque. Epping move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 25.4 points improving upon their best 1 results so far this season, ranking 9th overall with 290.500 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
