Dunstone finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) 6-4, then won 6-3 against Ramsfjell and 7-3 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK). Dunstone went on to lose 8-6 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the AMJ Masters Championship title, Dunstone earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $32,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 4th place overall with 345.113 total points.
