To advance to the championship game, Thompson won 11-4 over Calan MacIssac (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2025 Ocean Contractors Nova Scotia Mens Curling Championship in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada;
Thompson finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson lost 8-4 to Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 11-9 win over Nicholas Deagle (Halifax, NS). Thompson went on to lose 9-6 against MacIssac. Thompson responded with a 6-4 win over Purcell. Thompson won 10-4 against Paul Flemming (Halifax, NS), then won 10-6 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) and 9-1 against Colten Steele (Dartmouth, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
