Timothy Marin (Saint John, NB) finished 3-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marin lost 8-6 to Newfoundland / Labrador's Simon Perry, droppimg another game, 11-3 to Adam Fenton (Vancouver, BC). Marin lost 11-6 to Landan Rooney (Mississauga, ON). Marin lost 6-5 to Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). Marin lost 10-3 to Logan Ede (Martensville, SK) where Marin responded with a 5-4 win over Adam Drewitz (Saskatoon, SK). Marin won 11-5 against Adam Bedard (Rouyn-Noranda, QC), then won 6-5 against Nova Scotia's Calan MacIsaac in their final qualifying round match.

Marin earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 35 of the event schedule, Marin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Marin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
