Ede went on to lose 8-3 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). Ede responded with a 6-4 win over Newfoundland / Labrador's Simon Perry. In their opening game, Ede plays.

Ede earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 35 of the event schedule, Ede did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
