Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) lost 6-5 to Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) in the Final of the KIOTI National, held November 7 - 12, 2023 in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 6-5 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI) in the semifinals   of the 2023 KIOTI National in Pictou County, Nova Scotia; and won 5-4 over Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2023 KIOTI National in Pictou County, Nova Scotia; 
 
Edin finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) 5-2, then won 6-3 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Edin went on to lose 6-3 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Edin responded with a 6-5 win over John Shuster (Duluth , MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the KIOTI National, Edin take home 55.000 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN prize. Edin move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 9.375 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 327.625 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Edin ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 145.125 points earned so far this season.
