Edin finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) 5-2, then won 6-3 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Edin went on to lose 6-3 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Edin responded with a 6-5 win over John Shuster (Duluth , MN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the KIOTI National, Edin take home 55.000 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN prize.
