In their opening game, Bottcher defeated John Shuster (Duluth , MN) 8-1, then won 7-2 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) and 3-2 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Bottcher went on to lose 4-2 against Whyte in their final qualifying round match.
 
Bottcher earned 42.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the KIOTI National. Bottcher gained -2.75 points improving upon their best 5 events, though dropped 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 2ndplace overall with 409.750 total points. Bottcher ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 228.750 points earned so far this season.
