Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) won 9-3 over Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg , SWE) in the Final of the International Bernese Ladies Cup, held January 26 - 29, 2023 in Bern, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 8-2 over Raphaela Keiser (St. Moritz, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2023 International Bernese Ladies Cup in Bern, Switzerland; and won 5-2 over Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
Tirinzoni finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Stefania Constantini (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA) 6-3, then won 3-1 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) and 5-4 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Tirinzoni won 6-2 against Nora Wuest (Wallisellen, SUI), then won 7-3 against Beth Farmer (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the International Bernese Ladies Cup Championship title, Tirinzoni earned 37.500 world rankings points along with the $8,782CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Tirinzoni ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 277.500 points earned so far this season.
