Casey finished 3-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casey defeated Bryce Everist (Halifax, NS) 5-4, then won 10-5 against Eldridge to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 7-2 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Dave Jones Stanhope Simpson Insurance Mayflower Cashspiel Championship title, Casey earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $4,700CDN first prize cheque.
