Japan's Momoha Tabata won 9-6 over Mayu Minami (Sapporo, JPN) in the Final of the Hokkaido Curling Championships, held January 12 - 17, 2022 in Hokkaido, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Japan's Momoha Tabata won 7-2 over Mari Motohashi (Kitami, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2022 Hokkaido Curling Championships in Hokkaido, Japan;
Japan's Momoha Tabata finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Japan's Momoha Tabata defeated Azuki Akimoto (Sapporo, JPN) 7-1, then won 5-2 against Momono Shirahata (Kitami, JPN) and 7-5 against Miyu Tanaka (Obihiro, JPN). Japan's Momoha Tabata won 4-3 against Yuuna Takahashi (Nayoro, JPN), then won 7-6 against Japan's Mizuki Tmura. Japan's Momoha Tabata went on to lose 6-2 against Minami. Japan's Momoha Tabata lost 7-4 to Motohashi in their final qualifying round match.
