Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon, KOR) won 4-3 over Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi-do, KOR) in the Final of the Boundary Ford Curling Classic, held November 22 - 25, 2019 at the Lloydminster Curling Club in Lloydminster, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kim won 7-4 over Sherry Anderson (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2019 Boundary Ford Curling Classic in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada; and won 10-3 over Irene Schori (Zürich, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Boundary Ford Curling Classic in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada;
Kim finished 4-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) 9-8, then won 8-4 against Jennifer Clark-Rouire (Miami, MB) to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 11-3 against Laura Walker (Edmonton, AB). Kim responded with a 10-2 win over Yu Han (Beijing, CHN) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 6-5 against Anderson to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Boundary Ford Curling Classic Championship title, Kim earned 39.425 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque. Kim move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 35.761 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 264.185 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 153.531 points earned so far this season.
