To advance to the championship game, Stern won 10-5 over Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2020 International Bernese Ladies Cup in Bern, Switzerland; and won 8-6 over Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg , RUS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2020 International Bernese Ladies Cup in Bern, Switzerland;
 
Stern finished 4-2 in the 27-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stern defeated Han 6-5, then went on to lose 7-5 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS).
