Peterson finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Janelle Vachon (Brandon, MB) 5-4, then won 5-3 against Lisa Hale (Dauphin, MB) and 4-3 against Ackland. Peterson won 8-2 against Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
