Epping finished 3-1 in the 36-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Ulsrud 4-3, then won 9-3 against Yuta Matsumura (Kitami, JPN) and 8-7 against Matthew Hall (Kitchener, ON). Epping went on to lose 7-4 against Sam Mooibroek (Cambridge, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard Championship title, Epping earned 71.122 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 4th place overall with 443.104 total points.
