Blumberga won 8-6 against Alina Pavlyuchik (Minsk, BLR). Blumberga went on to lose 10-6 against Maile Molder (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.

Blumberga earned 3.474 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 33 spots the World Ranking Standings into 191st place overall with 5.145 total points. Blumberga ranks 143rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.005 points earned so far this season.
