Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) lost 4-3 to Kyle Smith (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Dumfries Challenger Series, held December 15 - 18, 2016 in Dumfries, Scotland.

Bryce finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryce defeated Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO) 5-1, then won 7-1 against Aleksandr Grzelka (Lodz, POL) and 7-3 against Michael Brunner (Gstaad, SUI). Bryce won 6-0 against Scott Hamilton (Lockerbie, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Dumfries Challenger Series, Bryce take home 12.701 world rankings points along with the $2,499CDN prize, moving up 35 spots the World Ranking Standings into 126th place overall with 39.205 total points. Bryce ranks 117th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 21.866 points earned so far this season.
