Thomas finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thomas defeated Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) 7-4, then went on to lose 6-4 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Thomas responded with a 5-2 win over John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Thomas went on to lose 7-3 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thomas earned 34.910 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Boost National, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 12th place overall with 393.274 total points. Thomas ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 168.493 points earned so far this season.
