Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) lost 5-4 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the Final of the WFG Masters, held October 25 - 30, 2016 in Okotoks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 5-4 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals   of the 2016 WFG Masters in Okotoks, Alberta; and won 6-5 over Mark Nichols (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2016 WFG Masters in Okotoks, Alberta; 
 
Jacobs finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Edin 4-2, then won 4-3 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON). Jacobs went on to lose 5-4 against Nichols. Jacobs responded with a 7-5 win over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the WFG Masters, Jacobs take home 65.291 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 6th place overall with 561.655 total points. Jacobs ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 216.526 points earned so far this season.
