John Epping (Toronto, ON) won 7-4 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the Final of the Meridian Canadian Open, held December 8 - 13, 2015 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. To advance to the championship game, Epping won 6-5 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2015 Meridian Canadian Open in Yorkton, Saskatchewan; and won 6-4 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 Meridian Canadian Open in Yorkton, Saskatchewan;
 
Epping finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) 4-2, then won 6-5 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) and 9-3 against Koe in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Meridian Canadian Open Championship title, Epping earned 84.171 world rankings points along with the $25,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 80.401 after improving upon their best so far this season. Epping ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 253.233 points earned so far this season.
