Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) lost 7-4 to Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) in the Final of the Masters of Curling, held October 29 - November 3, 2013 in Abbotsford, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Martin won 4-2 over Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in the semifinals of the 2013 Masters of Curling in Abbotsford, British Columbia; and won 6-3 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Masters of Curling in Abbotsford, British Columbia;
Martin finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin lost 7-6 to Liu, then responded with a 6-4 win over Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Martin won 7-6 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB), then won 6-2 against Tyler George (Duluth, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Masters of Curling, Martin take home 27.000 world rankings points along with the $15,500CDN prize, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 242.213 total points. Martin ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 118.600 points earned so far this season.
