7-5 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL), droppimg another game, 4-3 to Martin Ferland (Quebec, PQ) where Fitzner-Leblanc responded with a 7-2 win over Chad Allen (Brantford, ON). Fitzner-Leblanc went on to lose 6-5 against Ian MacAulay (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
