Brad Law (Regina, SK) finished 4-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Law lost
1-0 to Wade White (Edmonton, ON), then responded with a 6-3 win over Leon Moch (Medicine Hat, AB). Law won 6-5 against Carl deConinck Smith (Rosetown, SK), then won 6-4 against Warren Hassall (Lloydminster, AB) and 7-5 against Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK). Law went on to lose 6-4 against Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB). Law lost 7-6 to Scott Egger (Brooks, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Law earned 3.270 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 6 of the event schedule, Law did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Law ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
