Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) qualified for the 2010 Swiss Cup Basel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Switzerland's Christof Schwaller. of the 2010 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland;

Ulsrud went on to lose 7-4 against Switzerland's Christof Schwaller. Ulsrud responded with a 7-5 win over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Ulsrud went on to lose 5-4 against Germany's Andy Kapp. Ulsrud responded with a 6-3 win over David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO). Ulsrud won 4-2 against Switzerland's Pascal Hess in their final qualifying round match.
