Ross responded with a 6-5 win over Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Ross won 6-4 against Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB). Ross went on to lose 7-2 against Ferbey. Ross lost 7-4 to Rob Armitage (Red Deer, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ross earned 2.770 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Ross did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ross ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
