Pescia finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pescia defeated Don DeLair (Calgary, AB) 6-5, then won 5-4 against Jamie King (Edmonton, AB). Pescia went on to lose 7-1 against Mark Johnson (Edmonton, AB). Pescia lost 7-4 to Terry Meek (Calgary, AB) where Pescia responded with a 8-2 win over Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB). Pescia won 6-5 against Meek, then won 7-6 against King in their final qualifying round match.
 
Pescia earned 8.310 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Red Deer Curling Classic. For week of the event schedule, Pescia did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Pescia ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
