Kapp won 8-0 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN, USA). Kapp went on to lose 4-1 against Switzerland's Markus Eggler. Kapp lost 6-5 to Ulrik Schmidt (Copenhagen, DEN) where Kapp responded with a 4-3 win over David Murdoch (Scotland, UK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kapp earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the World Cup of Curling.
