My team and I will be heading to Fargo in March for Club Nationals and we have been reviewing the lodging situation. We want something better than a traditional 2-Queen room and our spouses are coming up mid/late week so we'll definitely need something more then. There are no homes for "rent" through VRBO or the other home away from home sites unless we want to drive 45 minutes each way.

We've got some ok rooms booked right now but would love to get into something with space, 4 beds and a kitchen. Any ideas?

On a side note...we are super stoked about the fact that there is a Beer & Bacon Festival going on while we are there!

If you are looking for "extended-stay" type hotels with full kitchens and larger sleeping arrangements I would suggest:

Residence Inn Marriott - Very nice, very new and right across the street from the curling club! This has to be on your short list for potential hotels with extended stay suites.

Home2 Suites by Hilton - It's brand new so I can't tell you much about it except it was an empty lot this time last year, and it is located pretty close to the curling club as well.

Other similar options include Staybridge Suites and Mainstay Suites which are still south end and not far from the club.

Also, if you are flying in and want closer to the airport (north end) but about a 5 minute drive from the curling club I would suggest the Candlewood Suites or Homewood Suites. When the old curling club was located up north we frequently used these two as our recommended hotels.

Hope that was helpful! Sorry there isn't much for VRBO or house rentals until you drive out of town into "lake country" as you already found out.

And I almost forgot to mention...

Beer and Bacon was awesome last year, but it sold out, so buy some tickets as soon as you can if you really want to go. You won't be disappointed! The food was amazing and there were quite a few beers I had never tried before either.

You'll be pleasantly surprised at what this town has to offer, so If you need advice just ask. Looking forward to meeting all the teams soon!

Our team has stayed a couple of times at the AmericanInns across the street from the club (Formerly Arbuckle Lodge). they also offer 2 bedroom suites with full kitchens. Very nice hotel, includes breakfast, pool, and workout facilities.

Don't ask the Coen Bros ...

Don't stay at the hotel where Jerry Lundegaard met up with Carl and Gaear, it looked pretty rough.
