What are some club fund raisers that you guys have tried and how have they worked out? (Aside from the 50/50). The best one we recently did made over $500 on a Saturday of a bonspiel. We raffled off a cooler full of beer for first place, a dozen bottles of wine for second and a dozen steaks for third. Sold 10 tickets for $10, people were hunting us down to buy tickets . All in all spent just under $500 and sold 1050 worth of tickets.

I'm trying to find some new or different ideas for our social league. We do a 50/50 every week and also a bottle draw or gift card draw.

A few we've done:

Silent auction with donated prizes, including things like "weekend at my cottage", etc.

TV raffle. The club buys a large TV (with a discount in exchange for advertising), uses it for the season and raffles it off in the Spring.

Elimination draw. $20/ticket, early bird draws through the season and a big draw at the final night. Every 25th ticket drawn wins $50, final three tickets drawn win $250, 500, 1000. This one is really popular.
