Blazin' Brooms of Blaine Summer Spiel

Hello all. Hope you have been enjoying the Championship Curling Season! A quick announcement for a brand new event at Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, MN.

!!!REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR OUR PREMIER EVENT!!!
The Blazin' Brooms of Blaine Summer Spiel. We are starting this event at 48 teams. In the future we intend to grow the event large enough to make ice on at least one of the two adjacent Hockey arenas at our facility! Update!!! PLEASE READ!!!

Hello Bonspiel Goers!

Thank you all for the interest in our first Summer Spiel and thanks to those of you who took our survey regarding expanding.

The result of the survey is that the overwhelming majority want us to expand from 48 to 64 teams! So the official word is that WE ARE EXPANDING FROM 48 TO 64!

This does mean that the event will begin Thursday night. We are working on a draw and will make every effort to get local teams playing Thursday night and Friday morning. However, all team will have games during the day on Friday so plan according ly.

Teams that were previously on the registered waiting list are now officially entered, but will need to log back into the system and pay the entry fee. Incidentally, we sit at a total of 63 teams as of this morning and have numerous other verbal comittments yet to register.

If this change means that your team cannot play, please contact me and I can make arrangements for any refunds if neccessary.

You should also know that, based on the great response, we are planning to expand into one Hockey sheet in 2014 and want to be on both Hockey sheets by 2015! That would be 16 sheets of curling ice! So even if you can't make it this year, you can put this on your calendar for next year and the year after! Spread the word!
